The Campbell County Militia

In July, 2026 I was granted exclusive access to the training grounds of the Campbell County Militia for an article I was working on with The Daily Progress. The Campbell County Militia is an armed group operating in southern Virginia, run by former Army member Dan Abbott. Founded in 2020 as a response to perceived civil unrest, the militia has continued to operate and runs monthly training sessions.
